Two 3 Bedroom Apartments with a Communal Pool, close to Burriana Beach

Location: Two modern apartments, very close together, just a five minute stroll down to Burriana Beach, a ten minute slow walk up, and a fifteen minute walk from the lively old town. Built on a lower hillside, facing south-west, catching the sun from mid-morning to late evening. Each has a slightly different internal room layout, but identical furnishings and inventory. Fully equipped as 'home from home', all-year properties, with their close proximity to each other making them ideal for two families, groups or wedding parties.
Sleeps 6: Both around 100 sq.m., sleeping six in comfort with three bedrooms. Master bedroom (with king-size double bed) plus an en-suite bathroom, with bath, shower attachment, W.C. and bidet. Next door is a second identical bathroom with the same facilities, serving the occupants of the two twin bedrooms. Fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom and the larger of the twin bedrooms. Free standing wardrobe in the third bedroom. There is a safe in the main bedroom, plus bedside tables, lamps, ceiling fans and hairdryers in all bedrooms.
Fitted Kitchen: Full-size oven, four-plate ceramic hob, extractor, washing machine, microwave, full height fridge/freezer, plus all the usual electrical accessories.
Living Room: Very comfortable sofa for six around a coffee table, dining table with seating for six, twin ceiling fans, 'Free to Air' satellite TV in English (100+ channels), radio/CD, DVD, sideboard with books, magazines and playing cards. Attractive rugs on tiled floors throughout, plus various extras including an iron, ironing board, drying frame and portable cooling fans. Convector heaters in all rooms for the colder months.
Pool and Balconies: Apt. 'C' (108 sq.m.) has a 16 sq.m. half-covered balcony with a retractable canopy sunshade, overlooking the communal pool. At the front, there is a small patio area.
Apt. 'G' (97 sq.m.) has a bigger 19 sq.m. open balcony, with a retractable sunshade and canopy, which does not directly overlook the pool. Both have a table with six chairs, plus six sunbeds either on the balconies or around the pool, colour coded green for 'C' and blue for 'G'. The pool depth is between 0.9m and 2.0m and is available from 1st May to 31st October. The secure pool area has a shower unit, toilet facilities, plus the required safety features and notices.
What's Included: Linen, hand/bath towels and electricity, but not large beach/pool towels. Our local British agent will supply a 'Welcome Pack' on arrival and be on hand to ensure a trouble-free stay. A cot and high chair can be arranged at no additional cost.
Miscellaneous: Apt. 'C' is on the ground floor, whilst apt. 'G' is one floor above, and two to the right of 'C', door to door is less than 15 seconds. Availability of a car might be useful, but not essential, unless you are planning excursions. Ample free parking, without yellow lines, on the quiet road immediately outside.

Location Information

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing... However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.

"THIS IS AN EXCELLENT, SPACIOUS APARTMENT, WELL
SUITED TO FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN LIKE MYSELF. THE APARTMENT WAS
VERY CLEAN AND THE KITCHEN WAS WELL EQUIPPED. THERE IS AMPLE
WARDROBE/STORAGE SPACE IN EACH BEDROOM. I WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE LACK
OF AIR CONDITIONING BUT WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO DISCOVER THAT THE
CEILING FANS AND FLOOR STANDING FANS PROVIDED SUFFICENT COOL AIR TO
SLEEP, EVEN IN TEMPERATURES OF 38 DEGREES!
THE POOL AREA IS ALSO WELL MAINTAINED WITH PLENTY OF SUN BEDS. THE
ONLY DOWNSIDE TO NERJA IS THE NUMBER OF HILLS, BUT WE HAD HIRED A CAR
(ALSO ARRANGED THROUGH YOURSELVES) SO THEY WEREN'T TOO MUCH OF AN ISSUE
FOR US. WE HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING THIS APARTMENT AND GILL
JOHNSON HOLIDAYS VILLAS TO ANYONE CONSIDERING A HOLIDAY IN NERJA."
